The Vietnamese street food restaurant in Leytonstone, East London has been shortlisted for the Society of British and International Design (SBID) International Design Awards 2015. Up against competition from across the globe, today is the last chance to help put E11 on the international design map.
SBID declared this year’s awards the ‘toughest so far’ with award entries from 41 countries world-wide competing in their annual awards.
Creative Director of Avocado Sweets, Evros Agathou said: “Design is a crucial ingredient in a restaurant’s recipe for success. For debut restaurant Little Saigon, the fresh, individual interior had to match the quality and innovation of the food and make an impact in the local area.
“We’re over the moon to see our design for E11’s Little Saigon on this prestigious international shortlist.”
The Awards are judged by international industry leaders, among them is Lewis Carnie, Head of Programmes ofBBC, Sir Michael Dixon, Director of the Natural History Museum, London, Ben McOwen Wilson, Director of YouTube EMEA; Kevin Mau, Senior Creative Director at The Boeing Company; David Lewis, Managing Director of Sunseeker London and Jane Preston, Facilities Manager UK, Real Estate & Workplace Services, Google.
The judges' decisions make up 70 per cent of the score with the final 30 per cent chosen by the public.
Avocado Sweets has previously enjoyed great success at the awards, with our Stoke Newington apartment winning for the Intelligent Design category last year.
Little Saigon, which opened in May this year, is on a shortlist of 18 restaurants and bars from nine countries worldwide.
