A West End favourite for the past 20 years, ICCO has long been known for its fresh tasty pizza with one of the most reasonable price tags around.
For their first sister restaurant, ICCO brought in Avocado Sweets to create an original and exciting look that retains the core DNA of the brand and appeals to the Camden Town market.
Opened in January 2017, the new look and feel has hit the spot with locals already, with the place packed out on day one.
Keeping the brand’s colour scheme and clean industrial look, Avocado Sweets evolved the confident brand look with a mix of materials, fixtures and fittings.
Hexagonal tiles in a randomised design provide the backdrop to the restaurant’s look, and an original take on the classic metro tile. Clean, fresh with an unstructured arrangement, the glossy ceramic echoes the pizza shape and creative free-flowing vibe of Camden Town.
Pared-down colourful hanging pendants at different heights continue the asymmetry with a visually playful effect, creating different levels within the space.
A ‘comfortable industrial’ overall look makes for a unique welcome with exposed ventilation, a poured concrete floor and stainless steel front benches mixed with softer cushioned seating and a fun Camden-centric mural.
The fresh menu is clearly visible for eat-in diners and take-away throughout the restaurant. Built-in storage in the bench seating meets the restaurant’s operational storage needs, while allowing for a good number of covers.
ICCO is at 21a Camden High Street, NW1 7JE
